Duty of Fathers
If you fail, father, to teach your son to fear God, the devil will teach him to hate God. If you fail to teach your son to guard his mind, the devil will gladly teach him to have an open mind. If you fail to teach your son to obey his parents, the devil will teach him to rebel and break his parent’s heart. If you fail to teach your son to select his companions, the devil will gladly choose them for him. ~ John MacArthur

Pilgrim's Progress for Kids
I just ran across this and thought perhaps some might want to look into it further. We're big fans of Pilgrim's Progress at SG, so anything that looks promising we like to pass on. These are workbooks in either paperback or PDF form. So check it out further here.

Little Girl Sweetness
The Lord has blessed us with girls. Seems God has determined we have a lot of the female gender for offspring here. So, after raising two daughters, we now have three granddaughters, pictured above with their "Auntie Nee," our younger daughter. SO any article directly speaking to raising girls in today's society gets my immediate attention. And this article did, so I thought I'd share with no further comment except to say it's well worth reading.
Oh and by the way. Today is our youngest granddaughter's birthday. One whole year of life. Happy birthday, Gracie!

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Children Need Parents
So true. Boys and girls need parents who will not only guide them from physical dangers, but physical. May the Lord give guidance and strength to Christian parents, especially in our day.

Pastor Asks for Prayer
There is an interesting story about a pastor in a Muslim country that perhaps you could read to your children and pray about. The article about this pastor can be found at the Kids of Courage website here.
It's really important that our children not forget the difficulties that Christians face in many countries.

What is It?
There is something that you possess one at a time.
Your parents have had it more often than you have.
Each time you have one, something goes up and then down while it is with you.
Something else travels in a circle twice by the time it leaves you.
WHAT IS IT?
Can any of your children figure this out? The first one to email me here with the correct answer will receive a prize! (But you have to give us a mailing address.)

Bulldog Pups
A notice in a weekly newspaper advertised Bulldog puppies:
"Cute. Already housebroken," the advertisement promised. "Eat almost any food you put in front of them. Love children."
